Duce BlaQue

Dallas artist Donald Kimbrough Jr. known as "Duce BlaQue" has been a music enthusiast since the womb. His mother placed headphones on her stomach to soothe young Duce with the sounds of blues and jazz. The talents of Duce BlaQue were discovered by music producer Kevin Hines of CPR Records.

His freshman album, Treading Softly, sold nationwide. He followed that up with a compilation CD entitled 903 to da 214 featuring several Dallas and northeast Texas artists. The success of these albums led to a contract with Samhawk Record of Dallas, TX where he recorded the "Go Mavericks" on his Southern Explosion CD and had the opportunity to work with Mark Cuban. Duce also had the opportunity to do a national TV commercial for Whataburger to promote the "Mushroom Swiss Burger."

Duce attained notoriety with "Go Mavericks" and had the privilege of performing to thousands of Dallas Mavericks fans in American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Motivated by tragedy, success, and a love for music, Duce has delivered a versatile Southern sound with a message. He raps about the loss of his mother, father, and young daughter to encourage others through their struggles and inspire them to know there is a purpose for the pain. He also raps about the struggles he has had in relationships dealing with toxicity and traumas.

Duce BlaQue has worked and performed with major artists, UGK, Erykah Badu, Devin the Dude, and others. He is currently working on a project entitled "BlaQue Friday" a 52 week ongoing weekly project consisting of weekly music projects dropped every friday since the very first week of 2023.
